Jacksonville College moves to 6-2 with latest win; 6 players in double figures

In what was its final tune-up before opening Region XIV play later this week, Jacksonville College dropped the hammer on Strenght'N Motion, winning 101-81 on Monday evening at the Curtis Carroll Fieldhouse.

The Jags, who have won four straight, will carry a 6-2 record into Saturday's game against No. 13-ranked Panola College (6-1), who is coached by former JC head men's basketball coach Aaron Smith.

Tip-off in Carthage is set for 4 p.m.

JC used a balanced scoring attack in securing its latest victory, placing a half dozen men in double figures.

Dancell Leter and Lamarcus Donahue pumped in 16 points apiece, with Leter pulling down eight rebounds and Donahue grabbing five caroms.

Jevon Westcarth pitched in 15 points and Henry Hampton wound up with a double-double (13 points, 10 assists).

Finishing with 12 points each was Mohamd Kraidly and Nicholas Gazelas.
