Jacksonville College women edge Bossier in OT


BOSSIER CITY, La. — Jacksonville College traveled to Bossier City on Wednesday and came back home with an 84-82 overtime win over Bossier Parish Community College.

JC (3-11, 2-2) appeared to be on the verge of recording a blowout win over the Lady Cavaliers (3-12, 1-3) after the Lady Jags took a 63-43 advantage into the fourth period.

BPCC got on track in the final stanza of regulation and outscored JC 29-9 to force overtime.

Ca'Leyah Burrell scored 30 points to spark the Lady Jags.

Other standouts for JC included Na'Kendra Ellis with 15 points and six rebounds and Shaniya Klauser, who pulled down nine boards.

JC will continue conference play by hosting Paris Junior College (5-9, 2-2) at 2 p.m. Saturday.
