JHS-grad Baker leads SE Okla. in tackles in finale


DURANT, Okla. — Although his Southeastern Oklahoma team lost, 42-38, to East Central Oklahoma in its season finale on Saturday, Jacksonville High School-product Scooter Baker had a day to remember.

Baker, a 6'-1”, 205-pound linebacker, collected 15 total tackles, which led the Savage Storm. He also recovered a fumble and retuned it 18 yards.

Southeastern Oklahoma ended the year with a 1-10 record, 1-10 Great American Conference, NCAA Division II) while East Central finished up with a 3-8, 3-8 GAC worksheet.

Baker is a red shirt freshman.
