JHS Hoops: Maidens now 13-0 in 16-5A; Wildcats outlast Indians

In what was the final varsity double header of the season at John Alexander Gymnasium on Friday night, Jacksonville High School's basketball teams swapped victories with Whitehouse.

The Fightin' Maidens, who have already secured the District 16-5A championship, handed the Lady Cats (10-16, 8-4) a 63-40 beat down on Senior Night to improve to 22-8, 13-0.

In a nail biter, Whitehouse )11-15, 5-6) was able to escape with a 49-44 decision over the Indians (9-20, 0-11).

The Fightin' Maidens can conclude the regular season undefeated with a win over Pine Tree on Tuesday.

The varsity girls game at Pirate Center in Longview should tip off around 6:30 p.m., with the varsity boys affair to follow around 7:45 p.m.
