JMS 8th “A” boys win district championship


Boys basketball teams from Jacksonville Middle School put a bow on their respective seasons on Thursday when they played host to Whitehouse.

The 8th grade “A” team was able to finish with a 14-3 overall record, 8-1 in district.

Despite falling to the Wildcats, 49-46, JMS was able to nail down the district championship.

In other action, the 8th “B” group lost, 35-27, to Whitehouse.

The 7th “A” squad finished the year on a positive note by taking a 48-40 win over the visitors to finish 8-5, 6-3.

The 7th “B” team fell, 30-24.
