BRISTOL, Conn. — Even though he just announced his retirement from the National Football League on Monday, Josh McCown plans on being active and extremely viable on the professional football scene.
McCown, 39, has joined ESPN as a studio analyst and is set to make his debut on the Wednesday edition of NFL Live, one of the network's most watched programs, according to published reports.
The 17-year NFL veteran and native of Jacksonville is also expected to work on SportsCenter, Get Up and other ESPN programs.
“Josh (McCown) knows the game and is highly respected to the league,” ESPN Vice President of Production Seth Markman said in a release. “Every quarterback room he has in as a player, he made better. Now we are excited to welcome him to ESPN.”
McCown played for the New York Jets the past two seasons.
