TYLER — The John Tyler Lady Lions played like a team that is still chasing a district championship on Tuesday night in Tyler.
The Lady Lions, who are in third play in district, beat Jacksonville 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-19) to move to 28-11, 6-2.
The Maidens skipped to 2-6 in league play.
Offensive leaders for Jacksonville included Ka'Lessia Anderson (8 kills, 2 digs, 2 aces), Jordyn Whitaker (3 kills, 1 block) and Tamia Tucker (3 kills).
Maegan Holliday ended up with a pair of spikes and four digs.
Other standouts for Jacksonville were Ashley Freeney (11 assists, 9 digs), Lauryn Johnson (7 digs, 3 aces) and Kristin Gonzalez (4 digs, 2 aces).
At 4:30 p.m. Friday Jacksonville will welcome Whitehouse to the John Alexander Gymnasium.
