Middle School Football: JMS-Boulter roundup


8th Grade “A” : Boulter 36, JMS 30 — JMS nearly rallied from a 14-point deficit with 3:00 left to play after Jermaine Taylor picked off a pass and raced it 70 yards for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. It was Taylor's second touchdown of the game. Jaden Boyd scored two touchdowns for the Braves and added three conversion runs to his body of work. The JMS coaching staff also recognized Karmelo Clayborne for making several “big” catches, Conlay Lamay (interception) and Ryan Walker for leading the team in tackles and recovering an on-side kick late in the contest.


8th Grade “B”: JMS 14, Boulter 6 — Kadarius Jeffries caught touchdown passes from William Alexander and Coen Devillier in the Braves' win. Defensive leaders included Trent Powell, Dakota Carlile and Antonio Cavillo. Turning in solid performances at running back were Xavier Kendrick, Walker Dublin and Gavin Speed.


7th Grade “A”: Boulter 14, JMS 12 — Sir'Mondrick Gray and Reginald Sirls had scoring runs for JMS. Brady McCown (quarterback) and Palmer Thompson (lineman) also played well, according to the team's coaches. Linebackers Michael Miles and Gray led the JMS defensive unit, with Khailer Canady being singled out for making several hard tackles and solid hits from his cornerback spot.


7th Grade “B”: Boulter 14, JMS 0 — Jordan Dorsey and Jayden Polk were named as JMS' top players in the game.
