The Jacksonville Indians soccer team was well represented when the District 15-4A awards were named recently.

Josh Nannen led the selections, being picked as the district’s Offensive Player of the Year.

David Adair, Michael Lara, Cliff Perdue and Jonathan Sanders were all named to the All-District First-Team, while teammates D.C. Forry, Brent Colvin, Robert Ray and Ronnie Rodgers were all named to the All-District Second-Team.

Athens players Angel Chairez and Angel Nava were named district MVP and Defensive Player of the Year respectively.

Athens players Marco Carrillo, Eduardo Hernandez, Sam Portales, Michael David and Jaime Chairez were named to the All-District First-Team, while Chris Abadie, Reynaldo Avila, Juan Carranza and Eddie Delgado were named to the All-District Second-Team.

Howard Rodriguez of Whitehouse was a Co-Newcomer of the Year recipient and teammate Stephen Hicks was named Sophomore of the Year.

Whitehouse players Robby Downs, Paul Metzner and Chris Carter were named to the All-District First-Team, and teammates Justin Parker, Dayton Longfellow and Blane Greer were named to the All-District Second-Team.

Lindale’s Jordan Norris received Co-Newcomer of the Year, while Noah Shipman and Hogar Villegas were named to the All-District First-Team and Leighton Kennedy and Logan Smith were named to the All-District Second-Team. Lindale coach Paul Smith was named Coach of the Year.

Jaiver Altimira of Corsicana was named Co-Newcomer of the Year and teammates Eduardo Castaneda and Ivan Garcia were named to the All-District First-Team. Sean Diaz DeLeon and Andrew Davila received All-District Second-Team for Corsicana.

Palestine had Antonio De Santiago and Jose Perez named to the All-District First-Team and Victor Ruiz and Hayden Richardson named to the All-District Second-Team.

Mabank rounded out the awards with Jose Gallegos and Guillermo Mandietta being named to the All-District First-Team and Hector Aguilar and Jeremy Lewis being named to the All-District Second-Team.
