Cynthia Quintana, pictured in action in a match last season, and the rest of the Jacksonville Fightin’ Maiden soccer team will host Whitehouse at 7 p.m. Jan. 4, 2011 in its first scrimmage of the new season. The Maidens, coached by Kiff Wiemers, open the regular season on Jan. 13 by playing in the Mount Pleasant Tournament. The Jacksonville girls’ first home match will take place at 7 p.m. on Jan. 25 against Athens. Meanwhile, the Tribe boy’s soccer team will scrimmage Athens at home on Jan. 7 (7 p.m.) with the team’s home opener slated for 7 p.m on Jan. 18 against Pine Tree. The Indians are under the direction of Randy Hammontree.
