TYLER — No. 7-ranked Tyler Junior College added Jacksonville College to its long list of victims on Wednesday night at Wagstaff Gymnasium.
The Apaches (13-0, 5-0) powered out to a 61-46 at halftime in route to the win.
The Apaches shot 55.5-percent (38 of 71) from the field while hitting 13 of 25 (52-percent) from 3-point land.
TJC's Shahada Wells knocked in 35 points to lead all players in scoring.
For the third-straight game Nicholas Gazelas was the high-point man for the Jags. The Galveston freshman scored 25 points and canned 6 of 9 shots from beyond the arc.
Henry Hampton chipped in 12 points for JC, while Justin Blunt finished with 10 points.
Dancell Leter just missed a double-double, after scoring nine points and shagging seven caroms.
JC, who is tied for second place in the Region XIV South Zone, will entertain the Cavaliers from Bossier Parish (La.) Community College at 4 p.m. Saturday.
