JACKSONVILLE FIGHTIN" INDIAN FOOTBALL

TYLER — For the Jacksonville High School 7 on 7 team to get to College Station, the location of the state tournament later this month, the Indians may very well have to beat the College Station Cougars in pool play of the Tyler State Qualifying Tournament (Division I) on Saturday.

The Tribe and the Cougars will join a couple of Jacksonville's District 9-5A-II rivals, Lindale and Pine Tree, in one of the four pools.

The Indians will face College Station at 9 a.m. on Field 5.

At 10 a.m. Jacksonville and Lindale will go at it on Field 6, with the Indians set to wrap up pool play with an 11 a.m. fracas with the Pirates from Pine Tree. That game is scheduled to take place on Field 5.

The four pool winners will advance to the semi-finals at 12:30 p.m., with the semi-final winners earning a spot in the state tournament.

All of Saturday's action will be held at Lindsey Park, located on Spur 364 West in Tyler.
