The blanks are beginning to fill up when it comes to the four teams that will be meeting in Austin next week to duke it out for the Class 4A state baseball championship.
Rusk, who has qualified for state for the first time in school history, clinched first, earning the Region III crown on Wednesday night in Huntsville by beating Bellville, 2-1.
Joining Rusk (27-7) in Austin will be Texarkana Pleasant Grove (33-8) and Stephenville (28-8-1).
Pleasant Grove swept cross-town and district rival Liberty Eylau 7-5 and 4-3 to claim the Region II title.
In Region I, Stephenville took two from Argyle, by the scores of 2-0 and 6-1 to advance to Austin.
The only vacant spot at the table is from Region IV where Corpus Christi Calallen and Sinton have yet to settle things.
The Class 4A state tournament is slated to commence on Wednesday from UFCU Disch-Falk Field at the University of Texas Austin.
