Rusk-ex now playing for Cisco; Wranglers open season tonight

Darrin "Dee" McDuff, center, a former Rusk High School standout is expected to make his Cisco College debut this evening when the Wranglers entertain Rezolution Prep.

CISCO, Texas — Former Rusk High School standout Darrin “Dee” McDuff will be among the Cisco College football team members that are scheduled to open their season at 7 p.m. this evening by hosting Rezolution Prep.

An all-district performer at Rusk, McDuff, who graduated in 2018, signed with Henderson State University (NCAA Division II) out of high school. He did not see action as a Reddie.

McDuff is listed as a defensive back on the Wrangler roster.

In addition to playing in the defensive secondary at Rusk, McDuff also served as quarterback.

The Wranglers are coached by Jacksonville High School graduate Russell Thompson.

Cisco will open Southwest Junior College Football Conference play at 7 p.m. on Sept. 14 when a trip to Kilgore is scheduled.
