Holding game balls while surrounded by their teammates are four Rusk Eagles who are the Rock It Wrecker Service Players of the Week for the Bullard game. Those honored include Jaden Rushing (Big Play of the Week), Sean Rogers (Hardcore Eagle), Caleb Ferrara (Teammate of the Week) and Donovan Burist (Eagle Fighting Heart Award).

Four members of the Rusk Eagle football team have been named as the Rock It Wrecker Service players of the week for the Bullard game.

Jaden Rushing earned the Big Play of the Week award. Rushing had an 82-yard kick off return for touchdown in the opening frame of last week's game.

The Hardcore Eagle accolade went to Sean Rogers, who has consistently been one one of the Rusk linchpins on defense this fall.

This week's Teammate of the Week honor went to Caleb Ferrara.

Donovan Burist was presented with the Eagle Fighting Heart Award.

Rusk opened District 7-4A-II play by knocking off Bullard, 32-14, in Bullard last week.

The Eagles, who are attempting to win back-to-back outright district titles for the first time in school history — in 2003 Rusk was district champions and in 2004 tri-champs — are scheduled to play their first conference game at Jim Swink Field at Eagle Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Brownsboro Bears (0-2 in conference play) will provide the opposition.
