State-ranked Alto moves to 5-0 after beating Corrigan

CORRIGAN — Alto, ranked No. 10 in the latest Class 2A poll, lived up to its billing by bombing Corrigan-Camden, 40-15, in a non-conference game that took place at Bulldog Stadium on Friday night.

The Mean Sting, who have an open date next week before opening district play on Oct. 11 by traveling to Big Sandy, improved to 5-0 with the triumph.

The loss was the second in-a-row for the Bulldogs (3-2), who fell to Joaquin, 16-14, at home last week.
