FRISCO — The Brook Hill offense was firing on all cylinders Friday night when the Guard smacked Frisco Legacy Christian Academy, 48-15, in a TAPPS Area (first round) match up that took place in Frisco.
Brook Hill piled up 630 total yards of offense in the game.
Quarterback Garrett Esposito connected on 12-of-17 attempts for 240 yards. He threw four touchdowns in the game and didn't surrender an interception.
After spotting LCA and early 7-0 lead, the Guard proceeded to score 48-unanswered points to secure the victory in a dominating way.
Jake Shaffer got Brook Hill on the board when he motored in from 20 yards out with 3:37 left in the opening frame.
Following a Garrett to Seth Moss scoring strike and another touchdown pass to Jayson Caldwell, plus a 5-yard touchdown run by Shaffer, Brook Hill carried a 27-7 lead into the dressing room at the break.
Moss and Caldwell caught two touchdown passes a piece.
Caldwell had three grabs for 89 yards and Moss three catches for 73 yards.
The Brook Hill defense got in on the scoring action when Fisher bass recovered a fumble and returned it 32 yards for six points at the 6:31 mark of the third stanza.
Leading the Guard (8-3) in tackles was linebacker Nico Flores, with 12. He also had two tackles for loss, two sacks and two forced fumbles.
Brook Hill advances to play district-rival Cedar Hill-Trinity Christian at 7 p.m. Saturday at Bruce Field in Athens.
Cedar Hill-Trinity Christian (10-1) won the regular season meeting over the Guard, 44-7.
