Texas All-Stars (Bullard) undefeated in Dixie World Series play

RUSTON, La. — The Texas All-Stars from Bullard are undefeated in World Series Play.  The tournament began with a field of 12 from 11 different states.

 

On Saturday, Texas' first opponent was Arkansas.  Texas' two pitchers, Traeson Wynne and Layne Alexander didn't allow a single hit and struck out nine in the 10-0 victory.  Lex Rich, Trey Martin, Jachin Salas and Alexander collected multiple hits in the 13 hit game.

 

On Sunday, Texas faced Mississippi.  In the first inning, Lex Rich, the World Series Home Run Derby Champion, hit a 3-run homer to dead center and was intentionally walked his next two at bats, in the 6-2 victory over Mississippi.

 

Martin, Noah Lock and Wynne pitched for Texas, only giving up two hits and struck out seven.

 

Texas' next opponent will be undefeated South Carolina, Monday at 8:00 pm.
