Jacksonville came up short in its final two matches in the Longview Lobo Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday afternoon, the host Lobos claimed a 1-0 win over the Tribe.
The match was called five minutes into the second half due to lightning.
On Saturday Sulphur Springs nipped Jacksonville, 1-0. The Wildcats (2-4-1) scored the lone goal in the match on a penalty kick in the final 2:00 of play.
The Tribe (6-2) have three matches scheduled in the Lufkin Coke Classic, beginning on Thursday when they take on Mount Pleasant.
On Friday Jacksonville will test Port Arthur Memorial and the Tribe will wrap things up on Saturday by facing The Woodlands College Park.
