Volleyball: Jacksonville drops 3 set affair to Henderson

JACKSONVILLE HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL

Jacksonville suffered its first home loss of the season on Friday afternoon when the Maidens dropped a 3-0 decision to Henderson.

The opening set went down to the wire, with the Lady Lions eventually prevailing 25-23.

The visitors capped off the evening by taking 25-15 and 25-16 wins in the remaining sets.

Ka'Lessia Anderson finished with five kills, two digs and a couple to lead the Maidens, while Tykeria Tilley added two spikes, three digs, three blocks and a pair of aces.

Also making noteworthy contributions was Tamia Tucker (2 kills, 1 dig, 1 block) and Ashley Freeney (17 assists, 2 digs).

Meagan Holliday had four kills and four digs for the Maidens.

Jacksonville will host Big Sandy beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday with the JV “B” match.
